NASHVILLE (March 28) — The percentage of persons unemployed in February decreased from the January rate in the tri-counties of Carroll, Henry and Weakley.
Carroll posted a unemployment percentage of 4.6 in January compared to 5.5 in January and down from the February 2018 rate. Of the 12,150 in the labor force, 11,580 were employed and 560 were unemployed.
Henry County had slightly more unemployed at 610 persons. In February, the number of people in the labor force was 14,470 with 13,870 employed for a rate of 4.2 percent, down from the 4.5 rate one month earlier and 5.0 one year earlier.
