1972 - 2022

Wendy Dawn Turner, 50, of McKenzie passed away in her home on October 23, 2022. She was born on January 29,1972, in Obion County, TN.

She was a 1990 graduate of Union City High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business. She spent 30 very successful years in marketing, travel planning, and was an award-winning radio/TV advertiser and was the owner/creator of Best of Jackson magazine.

Wendy was nearly always smiling, and her smile was enough to light up any room. She had a great love of life and laughter, no matter how bad things might be going.

She loved her dogs, Seinfeld and anything in the sun — a lake, a pool, a beach, anything — as long as it was hot and sunny. But she was going to be late getting there; that was well- known by all. Wendy dearly loved her family and gave everything she had for them and was very active in all her kids’ sports/school programs, no matter how busy she was.

Wendy is survived by her father, Ray (Kimberly) Crabtree of Springville; her mother, Reba (Johnny) Cook of Cayce, KY; her 3 children, Hudson Turner of McKenzie, Graycie Turner of Nashville and Keely Turner of Memphis; as well as her sisters, Jennifer Crabtree French of Paris, Stephanie Crisman of Mounds, IL, as well as her nieces, Riley and Reagan French of Paris and Summer (Terry) Woods of Clinton, KY; a great-nephew, Miles Woods, also of Clinton, Kentucky,  her paternal grandmother, Sarah Crabtree of Paris. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Zach Davis, as well as her paternal grandfather, David Crabtree.

There will be a celebration of life service locally to be announced at a later date, and the immediate family  invites anyone who knew Wendy or the family to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a no-kill animal shelter of your choice.
