BONNIE SUE BAXTER
1939-2011
TREZEVANT: Bonnie Sue Baxter, 72, lifelong Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at her home. Funeral services were Friday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Trezevant with burial in Trezevant Cemetery.
Mrs. Baxter was born January, 1939, in Huntingdon to the late Charlie and Ellen Wells Allen. She formerly worked at McKenzie Pajama Factory, Huntingdon Shirt Factory, and Milan Arsenal and was later co-owner and manager of B&B Trading Post in Trezevant. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McKenzie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Winnie Konazeski; and two brothers, Randy Allen and Thomas Allen.
Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, James Paul Baxter; three sons, Jim and Tammy Anderson Baxter of Gallatin, Jeff and Susie Wilson Baxter of Columbia, and Jack and Cindy O'Brien Baxter of Spring Hill; one sister, Alice (Bob) Cassidy of McKenzie; two brothers, Darrell (Betty) Allen and Bobby (Kay) Allen of Huntingdon; and five grandchildren, John Baxter, Jessica Baxter, Jillian Baxter, all of Columbia, and Jackson Baxter and Wesley Baxter of Spring Hill.

EWELL RAY STAFFORD
1926-2011
STAFFORD STORE COMMUNITY: Graveside services for Ewell Ray Stafford, 85, were held on Thursday, June 2, at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near Christmasville. Justin Usery, grandson of Mr. Stafford, offered the invocation. The Honorable Judge Steve Stafford, nephew of Mr. Stafford, delivered the eulogy.
Mr. Stafford was born January 22, 1926 in Greenfield to the late Grover Stafford and Algie Capps Stafford. He died on May 31, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired business owner and a World War II Navy veteran.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Betts Stafford; a sister, Eulene Stafford; a brother, J.W. Stafford; and a grandson, Christopher Neal Usery.
Survivors include: his daughters, Sherry (Kenneth) Usery of Hendersonville, Shelley (Randall) Pinson of Camden, and Suzie (Lynn) Cole of Bruceton; five grandchildren, Stephanie Poole of Williston, Trevor Caldwell of Camden, Justin Usery of White House, Hunter Cole of Murfreesboro, and Alli Cole of Bruceton; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers who served were Steve Stafford, Stephanie Poole, Stacy Shankle, Trevor Caldwell, Justin Usery, and Hunter Cole.

HUNTINGDON: Diane Dilday McPherson, 72, died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home withy Rev. Arthur Lodge officiating. Burial followed in Palmer Shelter Cemetery.
Mrs. McPherson was born October 20, 1938 in Huntingdon to the late Robert Dilday and Nettie (Crawford) Dilday. She was a retired employee of Baptist Memorial Hospital and a member of the McKenzie Bridge Club. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James McPherson, who passed away September 11, 2003; a brother, Bobby Dilday; and a sister, Betty Pentecost.
Survivors include: three sons, Calvin McPherson of Torrance, California, Shawn McPherson of Redondo Beach, California, and Howie McPherson of Huntingdon, Tennessee; three daughters, Heather McGruder of Huntingdon, Kate McPherson of Gardena, California, and Beth Rhodes of Torrance, California; one sister, Barbara Anchors of Jacksonville, Florida; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

CEDAR GROVE: James Howard Blankenship, 71, died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Monday, June 13, at 2 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Corbin officiating. Burial followed in New Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Blankenship was born September 22, 1939 in Carroll County to the late Dewey Blankenship and Claire (Robinson) Blankenship. He was self-employed as a farmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Bishop and Lucille Jones; and one brother, J.D. Blankenship.
Survivors include: his wife, Helen Blankenship; two daughters, Vickie (Ed) Townsend of Cedar Grove and Shelia (Mike) Browning of Huntingdon; one sister, Maurine Hollingsworth of Cedar Grove; one brother, Chester Blankenship of Cedar Grove; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MCKENZIE: Danny "Dan-O" Reed, 47, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. Funeral services were Sunday, June 12, at 3 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Vaughn officiating. Burial followed in Humbles Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Reed was born August 10, 1963 in Carroll County to the late Lyndell Reed and Mary Nell (Hampton) Reed. He was a teacher at Carroll Academy and a member of Mazies Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sisters, Melba (Donald) Ivy of McKenzie and Nea (Joe) Cole of Buena Vista; and nephews.

HUNTINGDON: Grace (Coleman) Fuller, 90, died Thursday June 9, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, June 11, at 3 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Jackson officiating. Burial followed in Union Academy Cemetery.
Mrs. Fuller was born October 25, 1920 in McKenzie to the late Albert Porter Coleman and Felma (Barker) Coleman. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Academy Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert V. "Vern" Fuller; and a sister, Louise Merritt.
Survivors include: one daughter, Joyce (Carl Ray) Cannon of Huntingdon; one sister, Claudine Morgan of McKenzie; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

MCLEMORESVILLE: Jason Allen Roberts, 22, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were Thursday, June 9, at 2 p.m. at Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Sumner officiating. Burial followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Roberts was born August 5, 1988 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gleason. He was preceded in death by his, paternal grandparents, Arthur William Whitman, Violet Land, and his maternal grandmother, Peggie Ann Roberts.
Survivors include: his mother and father, Judy Roberts of McLemoresville and William Arthur Whitman of Jackson; one son, Jason Malikaih Roberts of McLemoresville; his fiancée, Brittany Ann McClearen of McLemoresville; one sister, Mary Andrews of Gleason; one brother, Christopher Roberts of McLemoresville; and his maternal grandfather, William Howard Roberts of Valrico, Florida.

BRUCETON: Charles Ray Walton, 66, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services were Wednesday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hollow Rock.
Mr. Walton was born May 6, 1945 in Carroll County to the late Charlie Webster Walton and Mildred Iona (Lewis) Walton. He was an employee of Henry I. Siegel. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Patsy Thomas, Shirley Antee and Evelyn Clifton.
Survivors include: three sisters, Peggy Hedge of Bruceton, Debra Madrey of Michigan, and Tamela Gail Walton of Camden; and two brothers, James Marvin Walton of California and Jerry Walton of Camden.

Ives Henderson, Jr., 74, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 14, at 2 p.m. at Rawls Funeral Home with Rev. George H. Nolen officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Henderson was born October 28, 1936 in Bearden, Arkansas to the late Ives Henderson, Sr. and Bessie Mae Henderson.
Survivors include: two sons, Richie (Malissa) Henderson of Paris and Carl (Muriel) Newton of Beloit, Wisconsin; three daughters, Shelia Henderson of Oakland, California, Kechia (Dwarry) Dudley and Lushane (Chris) Allen, both of McKenzie; two brothers, Bill (Nora) Henderson of Lansing, Michigan and Clyde (Pat) Henderson of Nashville; two sisters, Mary McDaniel of Bearden, Arkansas and Erma Henderson of Oakland, California; and 14 grandchildren.

PARIS: Drucilla West, 87, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at her daughter's home in Henry. Funeral services were Saturday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Don Simmons officiating. Burial followed in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville.
Ms. West was born August 31, 1923 in Springville to the late Arthur Sanford and Maude Adelene Madlock Sanford. She retired from Midland Brake, served in the Women's Army Corp, and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
Survivors include: three daughters, Marilyn Shankle of Henry, Becky (Johnny) Myrick and Janice (Allen) Warren, both of Puryear; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

BRUCETON: Shelby Jean Perkins, 73, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at her home. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 15, at 1 p.m. at Bruceton First Baptist Church with Bro. Noel Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Bible Hill Cemetery in Parsons.
Mrs. Perkins was born February 5, 1938 in Decatur County to the late Phillip Wallace and Mag Nolah Flowers. She was a retired supervisor for H.I.S. Co., Inc. and a member of Bruceton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Billy Joe Perkins of Bruceton; two daughters, Donna Jo Blair of Jackson and Karen Ann Flippin of Medina; three sisters, Orene Duke and Betty Jo Douglas, both of Parsons, and Nancy Clifton of Bruceton; five brothers, Clyde Ray Wallace of Bruceton, Jerry Wallace of Decaturville, Robert Wallace of Montgomery, Alabama, Oneal Wallace of Parsons and Tony Wallace of Centerville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren.

MCKENZIE: Mary Frances Rogers, 79, died Friday morning, June 3, 2011 at her home. Funeral services were Sunday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Mike Crossno officiating. Burial was in Morris Cemetery in Greenfield.
Mrs. Rogers was born March 5, 1932 in Greenfield to the late Joe and Nina (McConnell) McGehee. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl McGee of Greenfield, Alfred McGehee of McKenzie, and Guentelle McGehee of Florida; and one sister, Marcell Story of McKenzie.
Survivors include: her husband of 58 years, James Lee Rogers of McKenzie.

JOHNNY RADFORD
1951-2011
HUNTINGDON: John William "Johnny" Radford, 60, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were Thursday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon with Rev. Arthur Lodge officiating. Burial followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Radford was born May 29, 1951 in Milan. He was the Carroll County Assessor of Property, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon where he served as an Elder, member of the Lion's Club, Tennessee Assessor's Association, Huntingdon Mustangs Quarterback Club, served on the Industrial Development Board, and the Equalization Board. He was preceded in death by his father, W. V. Radford, Jr.
Survivors include: his wife of 31 years, Trudy (Colvett) Radford; one daughter, Rosemary Radford of Nashville; his mother, Elizabeth Radford of Huntingdon; one sister, Virginia (Robbie) Voss of Dyersburg; and one brother, Robert "Gus" (Linda) Radford of Huntingdon.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon for the Johnny Radford memorial fund.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

SHIRLEY ANN WRIGHT
1938-2011
SUNSET, TEXAS: Shirley Ann Wright, 72, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Decatur. A memorial service was Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Crafton, Texas.
Mrs. Wright was born June 17, 1938 in Henry to the late Oliver George (Major) and Vitula Pearl (Horn) Reynolds. She was an avid reader who loved birds and flowers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Parker, and one brother, Billy Reynolds.
Survivors include: her husband, Johnny Wright of Sunset; three daughters, Teresa (Steve) Littlefield of Georgetown, Texas, Lisa Ann (Clark) Schmitz of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Melissa (Levine) Cervantis of Floresville, Texas; one sister, Barbara Slaughter of Troy, Tennessee; and five grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the Animal Humane Society and the Audubon
Society for Birds.
Arrangements were handled by Jones Family Funeral Home of Bridgeport, Texas.

CEDAR GROVE: Roy E. Hutson, 67, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were Wednesday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Bro. Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Hickory Flat Cemetery.
Mr. Hutson was born October 24, 1943 in Perry County, Tennessee to the late Wilbern Hutson and Lela (Curry) Hutson. He was a supervisor at Bruce Hardwood Floors, a farmer, and enjoyed woodworking. He was also a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jamie Hutson and Harry Hutson; and two sisters, Billie Starbuck and Donnie McCasland.
Survivors include: his wife of 47 years, Barbara (Essary) Hutson of Cedar Grove; one daughter, Tammy (David) Phillips of Lexington; one son, Nick (Mary) Hutson of Durham, North Carolina; four sisters, Joan Cochran, Jane Landers, both of Spring Creek, Mary Ann Johnson of Bruceton, and Janet Perez of Texas; and three grandchildren.

DYERSBURG: Mary Wilma Wiles, 94, died Tuesday, May 21, 2011 at Dyersburg Manor. Graveside services were Tuesday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at Hickory Flatt Cemetery.
Ms. Wiles was born April 4, 1917 in Carroll County to the late Alex A. Wiles and Josie (Ross) Wiles. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnnie Fred Wiles and Alex Walton Wiles; and a sister, Mabel Jewel Wiles.
Survivors include: nieces and nephews.

HUNTINGDON: Fannie Mai McClerkin, 86, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services are Saturday, June 11, at 12 noon at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Coplin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
Mrs. McClerkin was born February 19, 1925 in Carroll County to the late Graster Hurt and Callie Hampton Hurt. She was an employee of the Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Prentice McClerkin, who passed away October 10, 1989.
Survivors include: three daughters, Doris Jean Blackmon of Cleveland, Ohio, Mai Dorothy McKinnie and Carolyn McClerkin, both of Huntingdon; four sons, Prentice McClerkin, Jr., Aaron McClerkin, Audrain McClerkin, all of Huntingdon, and Gregory Lynn McClerkin of McEwen; a sister, Grace Reid of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.

BRUCETON: Richard Leroy Simms, 91, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at his daughter's home in Dickson. Funeral services were Friday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. James S. Daniel officiating. Burial followed in Carroll County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Simms was born September 3, 1919 in Oakland, California to the late Leroy Melvin Simms and Ruby Nellie Robertson Simms. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, WWII Navy veteran and Baptist in faith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Elizabeth Simms; one daughter, Dondra Jean Eichorn; and one son, Calvin James Simms.
Survivors include: one daughter, Betty June Hereth of Dickson; one son, Gordon Allen Simms of Welling, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

BRUCETON: Ruth Virginia Cavender, 81, died Wednesday, May 31, 2011 at Camden Health & Rehab. Funeral services were Saturday, June 4, at 4 p.m. at Bruceton Funeral Home with Bro. Durwood Worley officiating. Burial followed in New Prospect Cemetery near Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Cavender was born April 5, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Harry William Lincoln and Eva Cousins Lincoln. She was a retired seamstress from H.I.S. Co., Inc. and member of Post Oak United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Monroe Cavender; two brothers, Bill Lincoln and Woodrow Lincoln.
Survivors include: one daughter, Carol Davidson of Camden; two sons, William Cooper of Hollow Rock and Paul Cooper of Bruceton; one sister, Eva Wiserman of Detroit, Michigan; one brother, Everett Lincoln of Michigan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

MCKENZIE: Winifred Rose Sanders Pearce, 75, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Lifecare of Bruceton. Funeral services were Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd J. Lammersfeld officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.
Mrs. Pearce was born March 6, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Howard Edward and Hazel Bingle Lowe. She was a traffic and shipping supervisor for Emerson Electric Company in Paris and member of Long Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, James Thomas Pearce, Sr. of McKenzie; two daughters, Pamela Lynn (Tony) Campbell of Mayfield, Kentucky and Wanda Carol Rainey of Bruceton; one son, Vincent "Pat" Kaminski of Puryear; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth P. Stockdale of Beech Bluff; one stepson, James T. (Cindy) Pearce, Jr. of Culleoka, Tennessee; one sister, Beverly (Frederick) English of Benton, Kentucky; and 10 grandchildren.

COTTAGE GROVE: Eddy Wayne Brown, 55, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services are Wednesday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris with Kenneth Roberts and Mike Waddey officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery in Paris.
Mr. Brown was born October 21, 1955 in Cottage Grove. He formerly worked at SGL Carbon Group in Hickman, Kentucky, served in the National Guard and was a member of Cottage Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Baxter Brown.
Survivors include: his wife, Linda Lowe Brown of Cottage Grove; his mother, Dorothy Crowder Brown of Cottage Grove; three daughters, Yvonne (Carl) Schoubye of Paris, Gelena (Todd) McClain of Gleason and D'anna (Ritchie) Faulkner of Tennessee; two sisters, Carolyn Brown Mathis of Paris and Bonnie (Eldon) Wimberly of Camden; and six grandchildren.
