NASHVILLE (November 7) — Semifinalists for the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Award were announced Thursday. McKenzie senior quarterback Tate Surber and Huntingdon senior quarterback Gray Eubanks were among the five semifinalists in their respective classifications. more
HENDERSONVILLE (November 7-8) — The 2024 TSSAA State Cross Country Championships were last week at Sanders Ferry Park. McKenzie’s girls team, Huntingdon’s boys team and one individual Huntingdon girl qualified. more
McKENZIE (November 5) — McKenzie Middle School hosted West Carroll Tuesday for a pair of basketball contests. In a low-scoring game, the Lady War Eagles dominated the first half, but the Lady Rebels stormed back late for a 16-14 win. The Rebels took a big lead early and coasted to a 43-16 victory. more
McKENZIE (November 7) — McKenzie Middle School hosted Gleason Thursday for a pair of basketball contests. The Lady Bulldogs took an early lead and held off a late McKenzie rally for a 19-12 win. After a tight first half, the Rebels pulled away in the second for a 38-22 victory. more
McKENZIE (November 8) — McKenzie High School kicked off the TSSAA Football Playoffs at home Friday, hosting Wayne County and recognizing senior players, managers, band members and cheerleaders. more
NASHVILLE (November 4) — The Tennessee Sports Writers Association announced football rankings after Week 11 on Monday, with the poll presented by CoachT.com. Top 10 teams in each of the six Division I classifications and Top 5 in three Division II classes were selected by TSWA members with first-place votes in parentheses and total points based on 10 points for a first-place vote through one point for a 10th-place vote. more
It’s high school football playoff time in Tennessee, and several area teams are looking for deep runs and a trip to Chattanooga in early December. The journey begins Friday at 7 p.m. across the state. more
Both the McKenzie Lady Rebels and the Huntingdon Mustangs cross country teams qualified to run in the TSSAA State Meet after finishing runners-up in the regional qualifier. Quinn Kelley qualified as an individual for Huntingdon. more

PULASKI (October 25) — On Friday, the McKenzie Rebels made the two-and-half-hour trek to Pulaski, Tennessee to take on the 3A Giles County Bobcats. Despite a slow first quarter, the Rebels picked up their ninth win of the season with the 47-14 victory. more
McKENZIE (October 21) — McKenzie Middle School hosted Bradford Monday for a pair of basketball contests. The Lady Red Devils pulled away in the second quarter to top the Lady Rebels, 42-15. The Rebels likewise made their mark in the second frame, outscoring the Red Devils 7-0 en route to a 38-15 victory. more

ERIN, Tenn. (October 11) — The McKenzie Rebels traveled to Houston County to take on the Fighting Irish in regional action. The Rebels continued their strong season play picking their fourth win in Region 6A. more

McKENZIE (October 4) — Pepsi MidAmerica made a donation Friday of golf balls, Gatorade and water to the McKenzie High School boys golf team, which is headed to the state tournament this week after claiming the region championship.  more
