McKENZIE (April 5) — McKenzie Special School District announced McKenzie High School has promoted Dru Emerson to head coach for the Lady Rebels Basketball team. Coach Emerson was the assistant coach this past season, and has extensive coaching experience prior to joining the Rebels’ staff. Emerson was head varsity boys coach at Carroll Academy from 2020-2023 and was a 2020 TSSAA A.F. Bridges Divisional Finalist. more

Hodge is the 2023 Dresden football coach that blemished the Rebels’ undefeated regular season. Both teams met in the semi-final with the Rebels advancing to the state championship game. more
