MARTIN — Several Carroll County residents received degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin during fall commencement ceremonies held December 10, 2022. more
McKenzie Elementary School’s Fall Festival King and Queen will be crowned during the event on Saturday, October 29, 2022. The festival runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McKenzie Elementary School, 165 Brooks Avenue, McKenzie, and also includes a costume contest, games and other fun activities. Nominations from each class in grades Pre-K through fourth have been announced.  more

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology hosted its inaugural Tech Discovery Camp for rising eighth graders May 23-27. Fourteen students, recommended by McKenzie Middle School staff based on various criteria, spent the week rotating between four technical programs: Industrial Maintenance, Welding, Automotive, and Machine Tools. By the end of the week, each student spent a total of one day in each program. more
PARIS (November 5) — The Marching War Eagles of West Carroll High School traveled to Henry County High School this past weekend to compete in the Division I Tenn. State Marching Band Championships. Even with the rain and wind the band went into their preliminary performance with the best show to date, according to the news release. more
DRESDEN (November 29)  — Area high school and college students now have a new opportunity for global travel, thanks to a new, local non-profit organization, Global Citizen Adventure Corps (GCAC).  more

Owen Crocker and Tate Crews were chosen from Hollow Rock-Bruceton High School to represent the American Legion Post 180 at Boys State 2022. Michael Crosby will act as an alternate to Crocker and Crews for the program. more
