HUNTINGDON (October 1) — Saturday was a weather-perfect day for an all-day band competition in Huntingdon. Bands traveled from throughout west and middle Tennessee and Mississippi to Paul Ward Stadium on the campus of Huntingdon High School.

Bethel University is extending the waiver of standardized test requirements through the 2023 fall semester as a continued response to repercussions from the COVID-19 pandemic. This waiver is only applicable to traditional undergraduate programs through the College of Arts and Sciences. Students are required to submit official high school transcripts for admission.

GLEASON (September 23) — Gleason High School hosted its 2022 football Homecoming on Friday culminating a week-long celebration, the announcement of the 2022 Homecoming Court and football victory over Greenfield.

HUNTINGDON (September 24) — Huntingdon High School Alumni Association held its first-ever Mega Reunion with approximately 460 in attendance at the Carroll County Civic Center. The event was the culmination of the 29th Huntingdon Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 24.

MARTIN —The outstanding academic achievements of undergraduate students at the University of Tennessee at Martin have been honored with publication of the Summer 2022 Chancellor’s Honor Rolls for the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, College of Business and Global Affairs, College of Education, Health, and Behavioral Sciences, College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the College of Humanities and Fine Arts.

Monday is Top Spotify Band/Artist; Tuesday is “Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus-USA Day;” Wednesday, “Work” by Rihanna - dress up as what you want to be when you grow up; Thursday “Deja Vu” by Olivia Rodrigo - decade day, throwback to your favorite decade; Friday - “Get Your Head in the Game”--High School Musical - wear red and gray.

The Education Series takes center stage at The Dixie to deliver a unique learning experience for students of all ages. This series allows students to learn about science, history, and many other subjects through the theater arts performed on stage. The shows encourage students to engage in learning activities outside of the classroom. The performances will begin October 7, 2022, and run through May 3, 2023, with seven marvelous shows!
