ATWOOD (August 5) — West Carroll Special School District Board of Education approved a $9,051,084 budget for the fiscal year 2021-22, beginning July 1, 2021. It is funded by a local tax rate of $1.2207 per $100 assessed value on real property within the district. more

The McKenzie Farmers Market had a great day on Saturday with almost 300 customers and 15 vendors who had fresh corn, tomatoes, okra, squash, onions, peppers, potatoes, cantaloupes, watermelons, peanuts and more homegrown produce, baked goods and crafts. We are pleased to have vendors from surrounding areas including Springville, Union City, Clarksville, Huntingdon, Trezevant, Gleason, and other communities. In addition to McKenzie customers, we are also welcoming those from surrounding communities including those coming from Murray and beyond. They have commented that their reasons for visiting the McKenzie Farmers Market are not only the wide variety of products but the friendliness and hospitality of the vendors, fellow customers, and they enjoy coming to McKenzie and eating and shopping while they are here. We certainly welcome them all and hope they continue to visit our town and experience our southern hospitality. more

McKENZIE — Dr. Brianna Douglas McKinney has joined Phipps Pharmacy as a full-time Pharmacy Doctor. Dr. McKinney will provide care for patients at all Phipps Pharmacy locations and serve as the director of Patient Care Services. In this position, she will use her certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to provide complete medication reviews with our patients, as well as, more exciting health care services. more
