HUNTINGDON (January 8) — The Carroll County Election Commission is preparing for three elections this year in March, August and November with new voting equipment and paper ballots. The first election will be on March 5, 2024 with the presidential preference primary and county primary election. Currently, 22 candidates have qualified for 18 school board seats throughout the county, but only one school board candidate will appear on the March partisan primary ballot. more
NASHVILLE (January 2024) — Unemployment rates in the tri-counties of Carroll, Henry and Weakley counties decreased from November to December 2023. The latest labor force estimate from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development indicates the tri-counties’ overall employment has improved. more
