Assault Investigation — Authorities are investigating a recent incident in which a McKenzie man was seriously injured during an April 14 altercation between father and son at their mutual residence. more
McKENZIE (June 9) — Two individuals arrested in May were arrested again June 9 following a search warrant at the same residence in McKenzie. The arrests came as a result of a joint investigation into illegal drug activity by special agents with the Drug Investigation Division of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, McKenzie Police Department, Huntingdon Police Department, and the 24th Judicial Drug Task Force. more

Traffic Charges — Officer Trenton Ruddy conducted a traffic stop early Sunday morning, April 17, on a vehicle having a headlight out. After a license check through dispatch, the driver, Kenjah N. Edmonson, 23 of McKenzie, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Ruddy cited Edmonson for Driving on Suspended License – First Offense and Light Law Violation. more
DUI — Michael L. Robinson, 54, Johnson Circle, Memphis, was charged with DUI, Implied Consent, Speeding and Open Container on May 17. more

William Denton, 30, of Atwood, was cited in the General Sessions for animal cruelty on November 2. Carroll County dispatch received a call for a dog on Christine St. in Atwood about having a plastic jug stuck on its head. When deputies arrived on scene, they witnessed a dog with a plastic water jug stuck on its head. The animals were also malnourished and appeared to not be receiving the proper amount of food and water to maintain correct body weight. The defendant admitted that the dogs were his. more
