Air time on WHDM radio is 1 p.m. until all items are sold each day. Each year, area bakers provide delicious delicacies to auction. The items are auctioned over the radio. That’s something in which he takes great pride. But one of his favorite joys is talking about his many years of serving as the radio announcer of high school and college sports, a passion that started as a senior at McKenzie High School when he worked as a disc jockey for WHDM radio. more

The Bethel Wildcats went to the Rhodes College Track and Field Invitational Friday in Memphis. This was day one of the contest, with most of the events unfolding on Saturday. Bethel competed against teams across all divisions such as Memphis University, Berry college, Arkansas State, Centre, Christian Brothers, Freed-Hardeman, Blue Mountain, etc.  more
