Sheriff Andy Dickson Announces Reelection Bid

Posted

I once again formally announce my candidacy to run for the office of Sheriff of Carroll County. I am a lifelong resident of Carroll County, a graduate of Huntingdon High School and the University of Tenn. at Martin with a degree in Natural Recourse Management and a minor in Criminal Justice.

I have served in many capacities with the sheriff’s office to include jailor, patrol deputy, K9 deputy, shift sergeant, narcotics investigator, and patrol supervisor prior to being elected to serve as Sheriff in 2010.

Since being elected in 2010, I have overseen all operations of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. During my tenure, I helped guide the state-mandated construction of a new jail and new emergency management/dispatch center, both of which were completed on time and on budget.

As sheriff, I have managed the annual budget which I have continuously kept inside the allotted budget set forth by the county commission. While serving as your sheriff I have also held many other leadership roles in other areas directly related to fields associated with law enforcement in our county and state, including current board member and former chairman of the Carroll County 911 district, current board member and chairman of the 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force, lifetime board member and past president of the Tenn. Sheriffs Association as well as a co-founder of the Carroll County Prevention Collation.

I ask for your support to continue to serve as Sheriff of Carroll County. Paid Announcement by the Candidate.

Announcement paid for by the candidate.
