McKENZIE — Graveside funeral services for Kerry Anndora Montgomery, 87, were Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery located on Hwy 423 McKenzie with Phil Williams officiating. Mrs. Montgomery a retired educator, died Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at her residence. She was born on August 3, 1933 in McKenzie, Tennessee to John E. and Shellie Drucilla Medlin Anderson. Ann graduated from McKenzie High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Bethel College in McKenzie and her master’s degree in Education from Memphis State University. She was an elementary school teacher for the majority of her career. She retired from the Memphis City School System in the 80s. After retiring she returned to Carroll County and joined multiple groups such a Macedonia FCE, McKenzie Garden Club and Carroll County Democratic Women. Ann volunteered at McKenzie Hospital and McKenzie Medical Center. She loved people. She also loved to travel, especially with her daughter as they explored the backroads in the US and abroad. She was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church McKenzie.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Angela and Tony Menne of Cordova, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Grailey Montgomery and her sister, Mildred “Eulyne” Melton. Donations in her memory can be sent to Shiloh CP Church 2864 TN Hwy 423, McKenzie, TN 38201.
