McKenzie High School
David Duncan, director of schools of Hollow Rock-Bruceton is the speaker at 10 a.m. in the McKenzie High School gymnasium.
McKenzie Middle School
Billy Hollowell will speak at McKenzie Middle School at 8 a.m. on November 11. He is an alumna of McKenzie High School who joined the US Air Force after graduation. Sergeant Hollowell was assigned to the Strategic Air Command and worked in Aerospace Ground Equipment and Radar Operations. He was stationed at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia and continued serving in the Air National Guard at McGee Tyson in Knoxville, Tennessee. After the service, Mr. Hollowell continued his career in transportation as Vice President of Safety / Driver Relations at Milan Supply Chain Solutions.
Billy and his wife Angie have been married 36 years. They have a son Daniel (Amy), daughter Beth Ownby (Allen), and five grandsons. He is a member of First Baptist Church and serves as a deacon and life group leader. He enjoys spending time with family and serving in the mission field.
McKenzie Elementary School
The Veterans Day program is 1 p.m. on November 11 in the gymnasium.
West Carroll
Junior-Senior High
West Carrol Junior Senior High School will honor Veterans on November 7 at 10 a.m. with a program on in the gym. The Vietnam Veterans of America will do the folds of the flag and the soldiers cross presentations, the West Carroll Band will perform patriotic songs and West Carrol Culinary Class will serve a brunch after the program.
