Bethel University Homecoming Week is November 1-7

Bethel alumni, friends, and supporters will celebrate Homecoming at Bethel University on November 1-7 on the Bethel University home campus in McKenzie. The events include basketball, football, volleyball, a decades reunion, alumni softball game, bonfire, tailgating, Sports Hall of Fame breakfast, and performances by Renaissance Theatre. The event culminates with worship on Sunday at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Jerry Wilcoxson Homecoming Golf Tournament — 11 a.m. at Carroll Lake Golf Club, 1305 Carroll Lake Rd, McKenzie, TN 38201. Four-man scramble with a shotgun start at noon. Registration fee includes green fees, cart rental, and lunch. Lunch available at 11 a.m. Open to alumni, students, and guests. Registration required.

Decades Reunion — 5-7 p.m. at The Railyard, 9 Broadway Street, McKenzie, TN 38201. Alumni are invited to reconnect and relive the best of their decade. Enjoy hor d’oeuvres and listening to Cherry Avenue, a harmony-driven duo based out of Nashville composed of lead singer, Erika Catt, from Utica, Ohio and guitarist/vocalist, Adam Catt, of Brownsville, Kentucky. Tickets are $25 per person. Registration required.

Wildcat Women’s Basketball: Bethel vs. John Brown University — 3 p.m. at Crisp Arena.

Renaissance Theater presents Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street — 7 p.m. at Bethel Performing Arts Center. Join us for a dark musical thriller set in Victorian London. For mature audiences only. Tickets are $10 at BethelRenaissance.com.

Bonfire Night — 9:30 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium parking lot. Let’s get fired up! Join Coach Michael Jasper, the BU Wildcats, Renaissance Regiment, Wildcat cheerleaders and your fellow alumni to show your Wildcat spirit!

Athletic Hall of Fame & Alumni Awards Breakfast — 9 a.m. at Board Room, Vera Low Student Center. Enjoy a breakfast as we come together to honor and celebrate our alumni award winners and Hall of Fame inductees. Tickets are $20 per person. Registration required. Rev. Robert Watkins will sign copies of his book during breakfast. Sponsored by the Burroughs Library.

Catwalk & Tailgating: 11:50 a.m. — CatWalk starting at Crisp Arena. Noon-1:30 p.m. — Tailgating outside Wildcat Stadium. Join us before the Wildcats football team competes with Thomas More College with food, fun and games. You don’t want to miss the chance to cheer the team on to victory!
