Humane Society Night at McKenzie Station Bar and Grill
The Carroll County Humane Society (CCHS) invites area residents to the McKenzie Station Bar and Grill on Saturday, January 14th, 5-10 p.m. to enjoy a great meal while supporting CCHS with your tips. CCHS volunteers will be guest staff and servers. The McKenzie Station Bar and Grill is located downtown at 5 Broadway, McKenzie.
 
Carroll County Arts Trivia Bowl January 28
Carroll County Arts is hosting the Trivia Bowl on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 16835 Highland Drive, McKenzie. Support the arts in Carroll County and register teams of three to five people by calling Glynda Rich at 731-225-4470 or Denise Sam at 731-697-1844. The registration fee is $25 and can be paid in advance or at the door.
 
Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club Meets Monthly
The Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club meets the second Thursday of every month beginning January 12, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the Hollow Rock Fire station at 21280 Seminary Street, Hollow Rock. Cupid Shuffle 5K, One-Mile Fun Run, Tot Trot Fundraiser For Matthew Jones
The Cupid Shuffle 5K/One Mile Fun Run/Tot Trot to benefit Matthew Jones takes place Saturday, February 11, 2023, at McKenzie City Park, 570 Como Street, McKenzie. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. Preregistration guarantees a shirt and a mug. Tee shirts and mugs available for sale on site and hot chocolate provided post-race. Matthew has been fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease since January 2021.
 
Carroll County Republican Party to Meet
The Carroll County Republican Party meets the fourth Tuesday of every month beginning January 24, 2023, at 7 p.m. in the court room of the Public Safety building at 12740 Lexington Street in Huntingdon.
 
Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
On the third Tuesday of each month, The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 E. Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited.
It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal and a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. The Mount Zion United Methodist Church offers a monthly food pantry the second Saturday of every month beginning Saturday, January 14, 2023, 9-11 a.m. at 125 Mt Zion Church Road, Huntingdon.
 
Take Off Pounds Sensibly
The McKenzie TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets on Mondays at 3 p.m. at the McKenzie Church of Christ gym.

Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
 
Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location - Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.

The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.
