Huntingdon School Board Meets Wednesday
The Huntingdon Board of Education meets Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 5 p.m. at the Huntingdon central office located at 585 High Street, Huntingdon, Tenn.

TCAT-Paris Spring Graduation is Monday
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Paris, Tenn. (TCAT-Paris) Class of 2023 Spring Graduation is Monday, April 24, 2023 at W.J. Neese Campus in Paris. Commencement exercises will begin at 6 p.m. at the Krider Performing Arts Center (KPAC) at 650 Volunteer Drive in Paris. The keynote speaker will be Reverend Kenneth Humphreys, Pastor of Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Cottage Grove, Tenn. and a Henry County Commissioner, 4th district. Those receiving diplomas/certificates are: Cosmetology: Lauren Colvett (Huntingdon) and Mykayla Smith-Wilkey (Trezevant); Practical Nursing (Camden Campus): Makayla Martin (McKenzie) and JodiAnn Ramirez (Huntingdon).
TCAT offers 12 full-time technical programs and serves Henry, Benton, Carroll, Stewart and Weakley counties. For additional information about graduation or the college’s programs, call 731-644-7365.

Commodity Food Distribution April 25-26
Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council (NWTNEDC) is distributing USDA commodity food boxes on April 25-26, 2023. The food will be distributed at the Carroll County Service Center located at 13355 Paris Street in Huntingdon, Tenn. Distribution hours are 8 a.m. - NOON. Pick up for CHECKMARKS is April 25. Pick up for STARS is April 26. Everyone picking up commodities must have a pink card. No more than four cards per car. If you have not registered, please call by Friday, April 21. If you are unsure which day you pick up or need additional information regarding programs, please contact the NWTNEDC office 731-209-4458 or come by the service center located at 13355 Paris Street in Huntingdon, Tenn.

Carroll County Library to Host Beginner Computer Classes
The Carroll County Library is hosting Beginner Computer Classes every Monday starting May 1, 2023 and ending June 12, 2023. The classes are in one hour increments from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. each scheduled day. You must sign up for a time for each day to participate. Subject Matter is as follows: May 1: Basic Skills; May 8: Excel and Intro to Google Docs; May 15: PowerPoint; May 22: Spam and Fraud; May 29: Memorial Day (NO CLASS); June 5: Cryptocurrency and A.I.; and June 12: Review of Topics. Macedonia Cakewalk April 21
The Macedonia Community Center is hosting a cakewalk on Friday, April 21, at the Macedonia Community Center, 4680 Highway 423, McKenzie. Food service begins at 5:30 p.m. and the cakewalk at 7 p.m.

West Carroll High School to Host Wrestling Fundraiser
The West Carroll High School Football program is hosting a Memphis Wrestling Fundraiser at the high school, 760 Hwy 77 in Atwood, Tenn. on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission or $15 for ringside. McKenzie Chamber, Industry Banquet June 20
The McKenzie Chamber of Commerce and Industry Banquet is Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Venue at Waddell Place at 894 Joy Sparks Road in McKenzie, Tenn. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $40 for Chamber members, $60 for Non-Members and $250 for a table of 8 seats. During the event, awards will be presented to members for the Business Person of the Year, Business of the Year and Non-Profit of the Year. Members are encouraged to attend. The keynote speaker will be Kyle Spurgeon, President and CEO of the Jackson, Tenn. Chamber. The Carroll County Republican Party meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the court room of the Public Safety building, 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon.

Smalltown Cruisers Antique Car Club Meets Monthly

Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals the third Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 East Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited. It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal in a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. Caring Hearts Food Pantry
The Caring Hearts Food Pantry offers food distribution the second Saturday of each month, 9-11 a.m., at Mt Zion United Methodist Church, 120 Mt. Zion Road, Huntingdon.

Take Off Pounds Sensibly
The McKenzie TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets on Mondays at 3 p.m. at the McKenzie Church of Christ gym. Anyone interested in losing weight can join. Visitors are welcome. For more information, contact Linda Lawrence at 731-352-7309. If no answer, leave a message.

The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.
