West Tennessee Sarcoidosis Support Group Walk-A-Thon
The West Tennessee Sarcoidosis Support Group Walk-A-Thon is Saturday, April 30 at R.B. Wilson Clinic, Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. Registration is 7:30-8:30 a.m. The walk-a-thon is at 9 a.m. The cost is $20. Categories include: 5K run and a 1 mile walk (optional). Trophies are awarded for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place for 5K run participants only. Medals are given for participation. All proceeds support The Vanderbilt Research Center for sarcoidosis. The West Tennessee Sarcoidosis Group thanks the R.B. Wilson Clinic, Baptist Memorial Hospital for allowing us to host this event. CCHS Yard Sale, Bake Sale
The Carroll County Humane Society will hold a three-day yard sale at its location on Thursday, May 5, 6-8 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m.-1p.m.; and Saturday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Poot’s BBQ Food Truck will set up on Saturday and CCHS will be offering a tour of the new outdoor fencing/kennels. 
Forms of payment at the sale will be cash or card. Donations are being accepted for the sale. Call 731-352-9950 for more info.  CCHS is located at 21822 Highway 22 in McKenzie.
 
McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.
 
Carroll County Budget Committee to Meet
Carroll County Budget Committee meeting meets the third Thursday of every month starting at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex.
 
Carroll County Day of Prayer
The National Day of Prayer will be observed May 5, 8 a.m. at the Carroll County Airport. The event is sponsored by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
 
McKenzie Senior Citizens’ Monthly Luncheon
On April 28, noon is the McKenzie Senior Citizen add-a-dish monthly luncheon at 172 South Main Street, McKenzie. The speaker is Bridgett Deaton Bullion, director of Nursing at The Waters Rehab and Nursing Center in McKenzie. She will give a program on diabetes and seniors. All seniors 55 years-plus can bring a dish and join us.

McKenzie School Board meets Tuesday, May 3, 5:30 p.m. at McKenzie Middle School Library.
 
Liberty All Homecoming
The annual First Sunday in May Homecoming at Liberty All United Methodist Church is Sunday, May 1. The church is located at 2415 Old Stage Road, Huntingdon.
Morning Worship Service is 10:30 a.m. with church pastor Phil Williams followed by singing by the Gospel Edition and David Gaskins. Everyone is invited.
