McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. 
 
County Budget Committee to Meet
Due to a scheduling conflict, the County Budget Committee will meet the fourth Thursday of this month instead of the third Thursday. The meeting is July 28 at 2 p.m. in the conference room of the County Complex.
 
Carroll County Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.
 
CCHS Ladies Bunco Night
The Carroll County Humane Society hosts Ladies Night Out Bunco Thursday, July 21 from 6-9 p.m. at the Huntingdon Farm Bureau event building. This is a ladies night so leave the men and children at home! $20 per person includes a meal. Simple dice game with no playing experience needed. For more info, email cchstn@gmail.com. 
 
New Beginnings Church Free Block Party
New Beginnings Assembly of God Church presents a block party July 30 at 5 p.m. There will be carnival games, popcorn, cotton candy, popsicles, hot dogs, lemonade, and water — free for all attendees. The block party is at New Beginnings Church at 321 Magnolia Avenue in McKenzie.
 
School Supplies Giveaway
The Huntingdon Elks Lodge #2152, 150 Elks Lodge Road, Huntingdon, hosts its third annual Back to School Supplies Giveaway – Open to all Carroll County Students. Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location - Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.
 
Carroll County Senior Choir
The Senior Choir is seeking new members who enjoy singing. The choir sings on Mondays at one of the retirement homes in the county. For more information, phone 731-986-1985.
 
McKenzie Farmers Market
McKenzie Farmers Market is on Saturdays at 8 a.m., 2431 Cedar Street, in downtown McKenzie. The former Studebaker dealership was converted to an indoor/outdoor farmers market and allows area citizens to sell their homemade and homegrown foods and other products. 
It is open every Saturday morning through October. Also visit on Tuesday afternoons, 2-6 p.m. Watch for special children’s activities sponsored by the Carroll County 4-H and Agriculture Extension Service. 
Admission is free. The facility is sponsored by the City of McKenzie. For vendor information, phone City Hall at 731-352-2292.

The monthly Carroll Co. Republican Meeting is July 26, 7 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Huntingdon Public Safety Building, 12740 Lexington St., Huntingdon.
 
NWTN Economic Development Council meeting
The Board of Directors of Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council has a board meeting Friday, July 22, 2022, beginning at 10 a.m. The meeting is physically held at the Northwest TN Head Start/Early Head Start Central Office at 938C Walnut Avenue W., McKenzie, Tenn. and held virtually by zoom.
 
McKenzie Industrial Board to Meet
McKenzie Industrial Board meets Thursday, July 21, 6 p.m. at the RailYard Co-Working Space on Broadway Street.
 
Banjo Event at New Liberty Church Event Venue
Dan Knowles and Eddie Coffey are performing a few musical arrangements on banjo for the first-ever event in the New Liberty Church Event Venue. This event is Friday, July 22, 7 p.m.. 
 The beautiful old Methodist Church in the Macedonia community is now the Liberty Church Event Venue. Knowles and Coffey will be performing a few tunes from their  river show and the Civil War program ONE SONG, TWO VOICES - The civil war as sung on both sides Tickets are $15 each. Liberty Church Event  is located at 5585 Hilliard Road, McKenzie.
