In conjunction with the City of McKenzie’s 150th birthday celebration, Carroll Arts will host the Heritage Arts Festival on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at downtown Veterans Park. Local artisans will display handmade arts and crafts, and there will be demonstrations and activities. There will be assorted games in the park for an old-time atmosphere.
Local artists will display their drawings and paintings in Connie’s Place, where there will also be an ice cream social.
The McKenzie Timeline will be available for additional pictures and stories from years past. Please do not bring original pictures as they can’t be returned. Have pictures and stories duplicated or written on cards no larger than 4x6.
There will be live entertainment in the gazebo from 2-4 p.m., including Alan Cross, Bob Rutledge, Brittany Martin and members of the Cumberland Presbyterian youth choir.
