Resisting Arrest — Jerry Thomas Corder, 54, of 1235 Field School Road, McKenzie, was charged with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia during a January 11 incident on Hinkledale Road.
According to the report by Deputy Michael Smith, he and other deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle sitting in a field beside a house at 4581 Hinkledale Road. Smith spoke to Corder (the driver), and Corder gave Smith an old registration that was unreadable. At one point, Corder locked the car doors while still inside, rolled up the window, and repeatedly ignored deputies’ orders to unlock the car. Deputies broke out the driver’s side window and removed Corder from the car. Drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle.
Accessory, Parole Violation — Shonda Michelle Crowe, 47, of 40 Duncan Street, Hollow Rock, was charged with felony accessory after the fact and Brian Jackson (age and address not provided) was arrested on a parole violation out of Benton County during a January 12 incident in Hollow Rock.
According to the report by Deputy Tony King, Crowe harbored and aided Jackson in attempting to avoid arrest when deputies came to her residence after Jackson was seen with Crowe earlier that evening. For about an hour, deputies tried to get Jackson and Crowe to come out of the residence before deputies finally gained entry and took the two into custody. Jackson was transported to Benton County, and Crowe was taken to the Carroll County Jail.
Criminal Impersonation — Roger Jay Hollowell, 38, of 15980 Highway 77, Huntingdon, was arrested for criminal impersonation and for outstanding warrants January 12 on Old Stage Road.

According to the report by Deputy Ethan Parham, a deputy observed a man walking on Old Stage Road carry a computer screen. Parham stopped and spoke with the man, who said his name was James Holland. The deputy, however, identified the man as Hollowell, and a computer check showed that he had active warrants for his arrest. Hollowell told the deputy he gave a false name in order to avoid arrest for the warrants.
Scam — A Huntingdon man was recently the victim of a scam.
The man told deputies on January 14 that he received a call from an individual who claimed to be a representative of Publishers Clearing House and said that Turner had won multiple prizes. The caller instructed Turner to go to Walmart and purchase $900 in debit cards and then provide the ID numbers on the back of the cards, and the man did as the caller instructed. Deputies determined that this was a scam, and the victim lost the value amount on the cards that he purchased.
Simple Possession — Joshua William Pride, 38, of 1310 Sydnor Road, Huntingdon, was cited for simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia during a January 16 traffic stop on Highway 79 in Atwood.
Deputy Cody Walker reported that he pulled over a gray Trailblazer driven by Pride because the vehicle had a taillight out. While speaking with Pride, Walker noticed that Pride was acting nervously. When Walker asked Pride for permission to search the vehicle, Pride told Walker that he did not have the right. Another deputy with a K-9 dog was at the scene, and the dog indicated the presence of illegal substances. A substance believed to be marijuana was found in one of Pride’s pockets, and a numerous needles and a spoon containing narcotics residue were found in a sunglasses case inside the vehicle.
