Theft — A trailer was recently reported as being stolen from private property in Clarksburg.
William Longmire of Yuma contacted the Sheriff’s Department on March 16 and told officers hisk 6’4 x 12’ trailer with a tailgate was missing. Longmire said that he had contacted everyone he thought might have borrowed it, but no-one said that they had. The trailer was valued at $750.
Theft — Two ATVs were recently reported as being stolen from private property in Clarksburg.
Billy Ringold contacted the Sheriff’s Department on March 16 and told officers that two four wheelers had been stolen from his shop at 1805 Clarksburg Road some time between March 13 and March 16. According to Ringold, one of the four wheelers was a red 2017 Honda 420 CC and the other was a red 2008 Honda Rancher.
Domestic Assault — One Hollow Rock woman was arrested March 16 for allegedly attacking another Hollow Rock woman at their mutual residence.
Mary Jo Farthing, 40, of 1925 Roundhouse Road was charged with domestic assault. According to the report by Deputy Steven Scott, he went to Farthing’s residence and spoke with resident Barbra Ross. Ross told Scott that Farthing had assaulted her by hitting her in the shoulder with a glass candy jar and hitting her in the back of the head with a glass candle and what appeared to be a bag. Scott observed that Ross had a visible cut and knot on the back of her head. He also observed a broken glass jar on the kitchen floor.
Burglary — Deputies are investigating the recent burglary of a building near Huntingdon.

Marty Barker contacted the Sheriff’s Department on March 17 and told officers that someone had broken into his shop at 11995 Highway 77 and stole several items. Reported as stolen were a car battery valued at $250, a cordless tool set valued at $700, a toolbox valued at $400, and a small refrigerator valued at $150.
Assault — A local man and woman were allegedly assaulted by a Huntingdon man during a March 19 altercation at the woman’s residence.
According to the report by Deputy Frank McGee, he responded to 423 Stephanie Lane in Huntingdon and spoke with resident Krystal Hope Brown. She told McGee that her ex-husband – Nicky Joe Brown, 32, of 185 Roark Lane – entered her residence without her permission by kicking in the front door, and then he started punching her boyfriend, Brandon Turner of Huntingdon, in the face multiple times. Mrs. Brown said she tried to break it up, but Mr. Brown grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into the front porch railing, causing her to injure her left hip. She said Turner and her ex-husband then started fighting in the front yard until Mr. Brown found out that the police had been called, and then he left the scene before officers arrived. McGee reported that Mr. Brown called Mrs. Brown while he was there speaking with her. Mrs. Brown put the call on speakerphone, and McGee heard Mr. Brown tell his ex-wife that she “was going to pay for this.” Mrs. Brown later went to the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County, where she was treated for her injuries.
Assault, Drugs — An Atwood man was arrested March 13 for allegedly attacking a McKenzie woman at a Huntingdon residence.
Cody Chase Cunningham, 30, of 1605 Rimmer Road was charged with domestic assault and possession of a schedule IV drug. According to the report by Deputy Cody Walker, he went to a residence at 420 Thompson Road and spoke with Elizabeth Bugg, who said that Cunningham had pushed her to the ground, causing marks on her legs. Walker arrested Cunningham and placed him in the back of his patrol car, but when he let Cunningham back out of the car in order to search him, the officer noticed a smashed up blue pill in the seat where Cunningham had been sitting.
Evading Arrest — A Huntingdon man was arrested March 14 after a vehicular pursuit in the Huntingdon area.
James H. Brown II, 48, of 1085 Buena Vista Road was charged with felony evading arrest and driving on a revoked license (second offense). According to the report by Deputy Cody Walker, he tried to initiate a traffic stop on a small red sedan driven by Brown at around 10:27 p.m. on Buena Vista Road, but Brown did not pull over when Walker turned on his siren and blue lights. Walker pursued Brown’s vehicle for approximately 11 miles on Buena Vista Road, Smyrna Road, Ball Creek Road, and then back to Buena Vista Road before Brown finally pulled over. A computer check showed that Brown’s license had been revoked due to failure to pay fines. There were two passengers in the vehicle with Brown, and one of them – Candis Highsmith – had an active warrant out of Benton County. Highsmith was transported to Benton County, and Brown was taken to the Carroll County Jail.
