Theft, Destruction of Property — Deputies are looking into a recent break-in and theft from a residence near Bruceton.
According to the report by Deputy Christopher Adams, he went to 1555 Bruceton Vale Road on August 8 and spoke with Doris Thomas.
She told Adams that she was staying in Camden but was planning to move back into that residence. Thomas said that she had been doing laundry at the residence on August 7 and had locked the doors before going back to Camden. When she returned on August 8, she found that a front window had been broken and her washing machine valued at $350 had been taken.
The hose to the washing machine had been cut, and there was one to two inches of water on the floor in the storage room and kitchen. Damage to the residence was estimated at $3,250.
