Stolen Vehicle — A stolen vehicle was found at a Bruceton residence on October 25.
According to the report by Deputy Scotty Davis, he and officers with the U.S. Marshalls Service went to 430 Batey Lane looking for a wanted person. No one was home at the residence, but officers did find a white Buick Regal in the driveway. A computer check showed that the vehicle had been stolen out of Gibson County. Authorities in that county were notified, and the car was towed to a secure location. As the car was locked, officers were unable to search its contents. The matter is still under investigation.
Public Intoxication — Sammie Michael Lusk Jr., 23, of 645 Enon Church Road, McKenzie, was charged with public intoxication during an October 26 incident.
According to the report by Deputy Michael Taylor, he responded to a call about a vehicle stopped in the roadway at the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Old Christmasville Road. Upon arrival, the deputy found Lusk passed out behind the wheel of the vehicle with the engine off. Taylor reported that Lusk smelled of alcohol, and a beer bottle was found at his feet in the floorboard.
