Carroll County Sheriff’s Reports

Posted

License, Drug Violations — Christy Nicole Fullington, 23, of Puryear was charged with driving on a revoked license (third offense) and simple possession of a schedule II drug during a June 5 traffic stop on Highway 77.
According to the report by Deputy Dennis Adkins, he pulled over a vehicle driven by Fullington after receiving a call from the Paris Police Department that the driver of that vehicle was a suspect in a vandalism case. Adkins also had prior knowledge that Fullington had an active warrant for violation of probation in Carroll County, and a computer check showed that her license was revoked. Daniel Carter of Puryear, who was a passenger in the vehicle, could not produce a valid registration, so the vehicle was seized. During an open inventory of the vehicle, deputies located a small amount of methamphetamine in a black case. Carter gave a statement that the narcotics did not belong to him.
Burglary — Deputies are investigating the recent burglary of a home in the Hollow Rock-Bruceton area.

Brent Cole told deputies on June 8 that he left for vacation on June 1, and when he got back earlier that day, he found that someone had broken into his home at 380 Butler School Road and had stolen several items. Cole said that entry was made through a side door under the carport. Reported as stolen were a 24-inch TV valued at $150, a Play Station 4 valued at $350, a gaming controller valued at $150, and a small black safe valued at $40.
Court Order Violation — Earl Wayne Browning, 32, of Atwood was arrested during a June 12 incident in Atwood.
According to the report by Deputy Frank McGee, he responded to 435 Main Street after receiving a call about Browning being at the residence. McGee noted that Browning had been arrested previously that week for violation of an order grant and bail and was not supposed to be at that residence. The deputy found Browning in a back bedroom and took him into custody. A computer check showed that Browning had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
