Carroll County ‘Walks Across Tennessee’

The official Walk Across Tennessee Results for Carroll County are in. This challenge was held by the Carroll County UT Extension office partnered with Carroll County Coordinated School Health from September 1 to October 26.

There were 15 teams of six that participated this year, and they each worked hard to reach their physical activity goals.

Altogether, the teams walked 18,167.39 miles over eight weeks. That’s the equivalent of walking across Tennessee over 41 times.

Carroll County Coordinated School Health donated prizes to the first, second and third place teams. There was also a prize for Top Male and Top Female.

The winners were:

Top Male — Zack Flippin

Top Female — Psyanita Elmore

First Place team — Middle Mustangs: Kathryn Kreuziger, Kim Byars, Robin Belew, Paul Hugueley, Brandon Sims and Scott Carter

Second Place team — Walk It Like We Sing It: Jackie Wester, Nelson Falls, Natalie Porter, Allison Coleman, Patricia Coleman and Psyanita Elmore

Third Place team — War Eagles: Titus Taylor, Paul Acuff, Jason Martin, Nancy Hopper, Regina Alred and Jason Fitch
