Posted

Theft, Vandalism — A warrant was issued against Michelle L. Ridgeway, 47, of 23950 Highway 114, Hollow Rock, for theft and vandalism on May 16.
According to the report by Deputy Michael Smith, Angela Reinholt told deputies she traveled to Florida and left Ridgeway to house-sit her residence at 1860 Ephesus Church Road while she was away. Reinholt said that when she got back, Ridgeway and an unidentified male hit her car with sticks, busting the taillight and denting one of the doors. Reinholt said that Ridgeway also sold several items from her home for over $1,000. Smith went to the residence of the person Reinholt said the items were sold to, and that person identified Ridgeway as the person who sold him the items.
Burglary — April Garner, 31, of Lavinia and Daniel J. McAlexander of Bradford were both charged in relation to a recent case of burglary/breaking and entering on private property in Lavinia.
According to the report by Deputy Kenny Tucker, he spoke with Denise Pratt of Milan on May 17, and she said that she had heard someone moved into a residence she owns at 6696 Terry Road without her permission. Tucker went to that address and found Garner and McAlexander at the residence. Garner told Tucker she had been given permission to move into the home, but Tucker called Pratt, who said no one had permission to move onto the property. Inside the residence, Tucker found that all the furniture and appliances were removed. Garner told Tucker she and McAlexander moved all these items to a residence at 4650 McLemoresville Road. Some of the items were recovered at that address, but around $5,000 in items, including a washer, dryer, and cookstove, were not found there.

License Violation — Michael Ryan Boggs, 41, of Camden was arrested for driving without a license on January 12 at the Sheriff’s Office.
According to the report by Deputy Michael Krause, he observed Boggs drive up and park near the main entrance to the Sheriff’s Office in a Ford car. Krause noted he had prior knowledge Boggs did not have a valid driver’s license and also had a criminal paper against him. Boggs told Krause he was there to bond someone out of jail. When Krause advised Boggs that he knew he didn’t have a valid license, Boggs said that the passenger in the car did have a valid license. Krause then advised Boggs that he was under arrest.
Burglary — Teddy Doyle Craig, 52, of 50 Main Street, Hollow Rock, was charged when allegedly caught in the act of burglary on May 16 at a Bruceton residence.
According to the report by Deputy Kenny Tucker, he went to 111 North Carroll Street after receiving a call that someone was in the garage. Upon arrival, Tucker found Craig lying down in the garage in front of a riding lawnmower with several items rolled up inside a blanket. Tucker also found other items in Craig’s possession, including a vehicle key, a make-up bag, and a billfold containing identification belonging to two residents at a nearby address. Tucker went and spoke with those residents, who told Tucker that those items had been inside a vehicle parked at their residence.
