Carroll County Schools Graduate 284

CARROLL COUNTY — The five special school districts in Carroll County held commencement exercises last week and issued 284 diplomas.

West Carroll graduated Thursday, May 12, at the school’s football stadium. Fifty-four students graduated. Natalie Moore was valedictorian and Dorrianne Shay Johnson was salutatorian.

South Carroll (Clarksburg) graduated Friday, May 13, inside the school’s new gymnasium. Twenty-eight graduated. Joseph Moore was the valedictorian and Nicole Templin was the salutatorian.

Hollow Rock-Bruceton graduated on Joe T. Herndon Field behind the high school on Friday, May 13. Thirty-nine graduated. Adelyn Page Braasch was valedictorian and Solomon Walters was salutatorian. A total of 39 graduated.

McKenzie graduated Sunday, May 15, 3 p.m., in the school’s gymnasium. Landon Winchester was valedictorian and Anna Grace Spivey was salutatorian. A total of 67 graduated.

Huntingdon graduated Sunday, May 15, 6 p.m. at Paul Ward Stadium. The ceremony was suspended when thunderstorms moved in. The ceremony was moved to the school’s gymnasium at 8 p.m. Aden Hutcherson was valedictorian and Brayden Bales was salutatorian. A total of 96 graduated.

Gleason High School’s commencement is Friday, May 20, 7 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.

The McKenzie Banner will publish a complete graduation section with photos of each graduate, photos from the ceremonies, and lists of the top 10 students. That special section publishes Tuesday, May 31.
