TEXARKANA, Texas — The No. 21 Bethel Wildcats Soccer team won their third straight with a 2-1 win at Texas A&M University-Texarkana Friday. The Cats moved to 3-0 while A&M dropped to 1-1-1. Two first period goals by Silvio Xavier gave Bethel a 2-1 lead at the break. Michael Nwafor was credited with an assist in the half.
The two goals would be all the Cats needed as they won by that same score. Bethel’s defense was again sterling hold their opponent to just six shots overall and only three shots on goal. Bethel had 21 shots and 10 on goal. Bethel returns to action Thursday facing Thomas University in Mobile, Alabama.
