The Carroll County Humane Society Banquet on Saturday, November 21 at The Venue at Waddell Place in McKenzie is sold out, but people may still contribute to the event and participate in the auctions. Sponsorships can be purchased for $250, $500 or $1,000, and donations can be made in any amount. Table centerpiece sponsorships are $10 and can be made in memory or honor of one animal or person. Items for the silent auction can be donated until Friday, November 13. Bidding opens for those items online Sunday, November 15 and closes at 8 p.m. at the end of the event. The live auction takes place in person and on Facebook Live during the banquet. Items include “Gather ‘Round the Campfire” fire pit including s’mores supplies, roasting sticks, camp chairs and more for the Billy Gene Stafford Memorial Heartworm Treatment Fund; “Family Game Night” basket including a variety of games and snacks for the Donald Hill Memorial Dog Spay and Neuter Fund; and “Home for the Holidays” basket including cookie-making supplies, gingerbread house and other cozy goodies for the Martha Highfil Memorial Cat Spay and Neuter Fund.
