Domestic Assault — Nicholas Snati Mineo, 31, of Lexington was charged with simple assault following a January 29 incident at a Buena Vista residence.

According to Deputy Steven Scott, he responded to a call about an assault on Buena Vista School Road. Upon arrival, he spoke with Jada Faro, who said that her boyfriend (Mineo) had grabbed her around the neck, and she had to claw him on his arm to get him to let go. She also said that Mineo punched her in the head. Scott observed that Mineo had claw marks on his arm consistent with Faro’s account.

Vandalism — Two inmates at the Carroll County Jail were recently charged with vandalism under $1,000.

According to the report by Deputy Scotty Davis, inmates Kasey Christian Lemke, 25, of Huntingdon and Thomas Michael Scrivner, 24, of Beach Bluff damaged a sprinkler head in a cell, rendering it unusable and causing flooding in the cell. Damage was estimated at around $500.

Theft — Deputies are investigating the recent theft of items from private property near Buena Vista.

Charles Joyner told deputies on February 3 that someone took a MS 250 Stihl Chainsaw (valued at $350), a leaf blower (valued at $150), and a string trimmer (valued at $150) from his property on Rowland Mill Road. Joyner said he had last seen the items on February 1.

Theft — Deputies are looking into the recent theft of firearms and ammunition from a residence near Trezevant.

According to the report by Deputy Cody Walker, a residence at 3750 Republican Grove Road was broken into sometime on February 1 or February 2 and numerous guns and some ammunition was taken. Firearms that were reported as being stolen included a Rock Island 1911 nine-millimeter semi-automatic, an H & R Gardner Mass 22 long rifle revolver, a Rugar AR 5.56 semi-automatic, a Springfield .357 magnum revolver, a Taurus .38 Special pistol revolver, an Iver Johnson Cattleman .44 magnum revolver, a Ruger Mark II 22 semi-automatic long rifle, and a Desert Eagle .44 magnum semi-automatic pistol. A Coast rechargeable flashlight and a speed-loader were also taken.

Theft — The Sheriff’s Office is looking into the theft of hunting-related items from private property.

According to the report by Deputy Kenny Tucker, someone came on property belonging to Ethan Lee on Buena Vista Road and Blue Lane and removed his game camera (valued at $200) some time between December 1 and December 27 of last year. Lee also reported that a two-man deer blind (valued at $150) had been taken from his property in April of 2019.
