CEDAR GROVE - Mr. Charles “Chob” Edwin Balentine, 80 of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, died Thursday, September 10, 2020, at his home.
Funeral services were Sunday, September 13, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Wesley Grooms officiating. Interment followed in Hebron Cemetery.
Mr. Balentine was born August 20, 1940 in Trenton, Tennessee, to the late Clifton Lee “Shorty” and Beulah Mae (Miller) Balentine. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lydia Kate Balentine, Frances Louise Bryant, Kathryn Rosielee Morgan, three brothers, William Lee Balentine, Bill Neal Balentine, and James Kelly Balentine.
He is survived by one daughter, Robin Balentine Hunter (Joe) of Ashland City, one son, Michael Balentine (Theresa) of Trenton, three sisters, Marilyn Gooch (Danny) of Yuma, Linda Holifield of Huntingdon, Shirley Grooms of Camden, three brothers, Bob Balentine (Donnie) of Huntingdon, Steve Balentine (Linda), Fred Balentine (Mary) both of Greenfield, care givers and special nieces, Kay Grooms and Brenda Williams. He also leaves three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Chase Funeral Home.
