GLEASON, Tenn. - Cherie Ann (Bookout) Francisco, 67, died Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after complications related to breast cancer. Cherie resided in Gleason, Tenn., with her husband, Jimmy. Together, they had two sons, Chris (Shawn) Francisco of Gleason, and Andrew (Chalise) Francisco of Germantown, Tenn. Cherie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Along with her husband and children, she is survived by her two granddaughters, Elizabeth (Tyler) Sams of Dresden, Tenn., Rigsby Francisco of Germantown, Tenn., and one great- granddaughter, Emmalou Sams. Cherie is also survived by her siblings Richard (Janice) Bookout, Terry (Janie) Bookout, Joan (Larry) Blaylock, Janice (Ronnie) Hall, and Charles Bookout.

Cherie was the daughter of the late Hussell and Virginia “Ruth” (White) Bookout. She graduated from Gleason High School in 1973. Cherie was a member of Gleason First Baptist Church. She spent years working at Brown Shoe Company, Gleason School, and Gleason City Drug.

Cherie was a dedicated and passionate member of the Gleason Community and was always eager to lend a listening ear or helping hand. She loved spending time with family and friends, vacationing in the Great Smoky Mountains, shopping, collecting antiques, and curating a beautiful home.

Funeral services were Thursday, September 15, 3 p.m. at Gleason First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Caledonia Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are Tyler Sams, Larry Blaylock, Kody Owen, Spencer Morse, Caleb Cooper, Bailey McMillin, and Chris Harris.
