McKENZIE (April 2) — The summer league of softball opened with a jamboree at City Park on Saturday, April 2.

Members of the teams lined along the separation between the infield and outfield as part of the opening ceremonies. A prayer by Reverend Rob Harris, National Anthem by Abbi Waldrup, and the first pitch by Laura Beth Milam, past president of the league were all pre-game.

Lindsey Holt is the 2022 league president. She encouraged the players, coaches, parents and spectators to have the attitude and compassion of a winner and their words to be encouraging and their actions be kind.
