Coach Jasper commented on the class, “I am extremely pleased with the class of young men joining our Wildcat family. These guys are talented and are going to help fill some much-needed voids on our roster. The staff did a phenomenal job searching out young men that we feel can quickly meet our standard and help continue cultivating our culture. Our transfers have been hard at it with the team since spring semester began. As we have done the past couple of years, we tried to find the best talent we could with in a three-hour radius of McKenzie and then ventured out from there a little bit. As talented as this class is, what impresses me most is this is the largest amount of academic money we have given out in a long time, if not ever. This class’s GPA is above a 3.0, with over half receiving academic aid along with their athletic scholarship. I’m a firm believer that, if we are handling business off the field, we will do great things on the field. Our returners raised their GPA by .3 since last semester. Adding these great student-athletes to our family will help our efforts there, and their talent will certainly help us on Saturdays.”
