Carroll County Fair Part 2 is This Week

The Carroll County Fair kicked off Monday afternoon, September 19, with the Junior Livestock Show at 4 p.m. followed by the Junior Livestock Auction at 6 p.m. The Miss Teen Fairest of the Fair pageant for girls 13-15 years was held Monday evening followed by the Miss Fairest of the Fair pageant for girls 16-20 years. The Chamber of Commerce Food Booth was open from 5:30 p.m. until close.
 
Activities and events continue all week at the Carroll County Fairgrounds, 201 Mustang Drive, Huntingdon, Tennessee. The Carroll County Fair Association was notified by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture that there will be no chicken shows or sales held at this or any other fair. The restriction is due to circumstances beyond the control of the Carroll County Fair Association and they regret the exclusion of poultry in this year’s fair.
 
On Tuesday, the Little Miss Fairest of the Fair pageant for girls 7-9 years begins at 6 p.m. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the fee is $10. Contestants must be a resident of Carroll County or attend a Carroll County school and are not eligible to compete if the pageant title was previously held. Contestants are judged on beauty, poise and personality. One winner will be crowned with four places awarded. The Junior Fairest of the Fair pageant for girls 10-12 years follows. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the fee is $10. Contestants must be a resident of Carroll County or attend a Carroll County school and are not eligible to compete if the pageant title was previously held. Contestants are judged on beauty, poise and personality. One winner will be crowned with four places awarded. Pageant admission is $5 and children under 5 are free. The Chamber of Commerce Food Booth opens at 5:30 p.m.
 
Exhibits open on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Chamber of Commerce Food Booth is open from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
 
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, exhibits are judged and the Petting Zoo opens. The Fair Friends Baby Show for boys and girls under age two begins at 6 p.m. followed by the Tiny Mr. & Miss Carroll County pageant for boys and girls aged 2-3. The Little Mr. & Miss Carroll County for boys and girls 4-6 years concludes the evening activities. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and the fee is $10. Contestants must be a resident of Carroll County or attend a Carroll County school and are not eligible to compete if the pageant title was previously held. Contestants are judged on beauty, poise and personality. One winner will be crowned with four places awarded. Pageant admission is $5 and children under 5 are free. The Chamber of Commerce Food Booth is opened from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. to end of last pageant.
 
The Exhibit building opens on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 5 p.m. along with the Petting Zoo. The Chamber of Commerce Food Booth is open from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. 
 
On Saturday, September 24, 2022, the Exhibit building opens at 5 p.m. along with the Petting Zoo. The annual USA Pullers Tractor and Truck Pull kicks off at 7 p.m. featuring super stock tractors, super farm tractors, pro-stock diesel trucks and many others. Admission is $15, children under 5 are free and concessions are available. The Chamber of Commerce Food Booth is open 5:30-8:30 p.m.
