 McKENZIE, Tenn. - Memorial services for David Lee Jarrett are Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 4 p.m. at McKenzie First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 4 to  8 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday, April 15, 2021, 2 p.m. until service time at the First United Methodist Church. Interment with full military honors will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.

Mr. Jarrett, 51, died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Paris, Tenn. on November 3, 1969 to Earl Jarrett and Shirley Waller Bell. He is a 1988 graduate of McKenzie High School and a member of McKenzie Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He served in the Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and a member of McKenzie NCO Club. He retired on July 31, 2018 as 194th Engineer Brigade Senior Human Resources Non-Commissioned Officer.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michele Bateman Jarrett of McKenzie, a daughter, Morgan ( Drake) Richards of Union City, two sons, Zachary David Jarrett and Evan Jarrett, his father, Earl of Lavinia  two brothers, Lynn (Patty) Jarrett of Henryville, Indiana and Jerry Jarrett of McKenzie and step-father, Fred Bell of McKenzie.

He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Bell.
