Early Morning Fire Damages Home, Re-routes School Traffic

Posted

McKenzie Fire and Police departments responded to a residential fire on Friday, November 8 at 6:06 a.m. at 125 Woodrow Avenue.
Firefighters battled the blaze while attempting to stay warn during the mid-20s temperatures.

The home was heavily involved in fire when firefighters arrived moments later. Woodrow Avenue was closed as firefighters parked their apparatuses on Woodrow and ran water supply lines from a fire hydrant in front of the church.
McKenzie Police Department barricaded both ends of Woodrow to keep traffic away from firefighters.
Middle School students, arriving by bus or personal automobile, had to enter the school through an alternate entrance.
