General Election, Party Primaries are August 4

Tennessee voters will go to the polls August 4 to elect candidates in various offices in the general election and state and federal primaries. In Carroll County, the general election includes all county and school board offices, along with primaries in state representatives, governor and U.S. Congress.
 
The voter registration deadline for the August 4 election was July 5. 
 
Early voting began July 15 and ended July 30. A total of 2,295 early votes were cast in Carroll County. There were 420 voting Democratic and 1,785 voting Republican. There were 90 total votes declaring no party and only voting in the general election. 
 
The absentee ballot deadline was July 28.
 
Voters should remember to present a current or expired photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state government when voting in-person, as required by state law.
 
Voting is from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, August 4. Voters can visit the Tennessee Division of Elections website at https://tnmap.tn.gov/voterlookup/ to check their voter registration status and the location of their polling place. Carroll County’s polling places are as follows:
