Election Day in Tennessee on Tuesday, May 3

A Government-Issued Photo ID is Required to Vote - With Just A Few Exceptions

Posted

CARROLL COUNTY, Tenn. (May 3)  - Today is election day in Tennessee. It is a party primary in which voters will choose to either vote in the Republican or Democrat primary.

All voters will arrive at their respective polling place listed on a new voter registration card received in the mail earlier this year.

Please arrive with a government-issued Photo ID and voter registration card.

This is a primary, not the general election, which is August 4.  If candidates wish to participate in a partisan primary, the winner of that primary is the lone primary candidate who will advance to the general election.  The General Election will feature candidates from Republican, Democrat, and independent candidates.

Attached is a list of polling places and a sample ballot.
