Elizabeth Stokes, the area representative for the American Cancer Society, said 49 cancer patients from Carroll County were served with 737 services in 2018. A total of 16 patients spent a total of 340 nights in the HOPE Lodge, a free service to patients and their families as the patient receives treatment at a nearby medical facility.

HUNTINGDON (March 19) — The annual Celebrity Waiters Dinner, sponsored by Baptist Memorial Hospital – Carroll County was held at First Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 19. The event raised over $10,000 in tips to the waiters, purchases of the centerpieces of each of the tables, and ticket sales. Jennifer Britt spearheaded the event with a team of dedicated volunteers from the medical facility. Dr. Lee Carter served as the auctioneer for the event.
