McKENZIE — Felicia Boyd operates two businesses in McKenzie — one in the much-needed service of daycare and another new venture, Expressions Tanning Salon.

Felicia opened the tanning salon September 12, 2020 at 299 Walnut Avenue S., near the intersection of Main Street, in the former location of her daycare center. She is assisted by Cheyenne Starr. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Monday to Friday and noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Boyd’s Expressions Tanning Salon offers three tanning beds - Level 2 and 3, one spray booth, and a red light bed for rejuvenation to help with high blood pressure and arthritis. She said the red light bed is the talk of the town. Every bed is in a private room and is sanitized between uses. Appropriate social distancing is observed.

Patrons will also finds clothes, shoes, essential oils, sunglasses, tanning lotions, red-light creams, and other whatknots at the location.

Her other business is Kiddie Kingdom Christian Academy, where she serves 85 children, aged six weeks to 12 years. She started the daycare seven years ago on Walnut after working with the previous owner, Vickie Wilkerson. She relocated the childcare center to vacant rooms at Grace Baptist Church at 359 Park Street. Kiddie Kingdom provides daily meals and childhood training.

Felicia said she is thankful for her businesses and invites everyone to come visit her. Expressions accepts walk-in customers. For more information, phone 731-352-9884.
