Farmers Home Furniture Hosts Ribbon Cutting

Posted

Farmers Home Furniture in McKenzie celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting Thursday, June 2. The grand opening began with a meet and greet with staff at 9 a.m. and a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m.

Grand opening festivities included a drawing held for a free 65-inch television, free snacks upon entrance, and several food trucks stationed in the parking lot.

Farmers Furniture is one of the largest 100% employee-owned companies, store manager Amber Taylor informed. She said her share in the company helped her transfer from the store’s Martin, Tenn., location to McKenzie. She worked in Martin for three and a half years, and she looks forward to “many great years” at the McKenzie location.

Mayor Jill Holland is delighted at the store’s decision to open in McKenzie, and she looks forward to their continued success.

Farmers Home Furniture opened its doors to customers March 29. It is one of over 250 Farmers Home Furniture stores across the Southeast, including locations in Paris, Martin and Jackson. Customers can shop all the furniture, appliances, and home decor Farmers Home Furniture offers at 87 Main Street S (the old Fred’s building).
