Fillies Rout Lady Rockets, 19-1

CLARKSBURG (March 23) — The Huntingdon High School Fillies earned a district softball road win Tuesday at Clarksburg, 19-1.
The Fillies were dominant out of the gate with six runs in the top of the first. They added four in the top of the second, and the Lady Rockets got on the board with a run in the home half. Huntingdon plated five in the third and four in the fourth to end the game early.
Kenadie Gibson led the Fillies’ offense, going 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, six RBIs, three runs scored and a stolen base. Madison Mann went 3-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs, a run scored and two stolen bases. Shelby Childress was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, four runs scored and three stolen bases. Josie Sanders went 1-for-1 with a double, a walk, an RBI, four runs scored and five stolen bases. Ava Ryan Canovan was 2-for-2 with a run scored and two stolen bases. Hannah King went 1-for-1 with a walk, three runs scored and three stolen bases. Lindsey Sanders was 1-for-1 with a double, a run scored and a stolen base.
Rylee Holladay earned the win for Huntingdon, allowing one earned run on two hits while striking out three and walking two in three innings. Natalie Kreuziger pitched the final inning, allowing no runs or hits while striking out three and walking two.
