Fillies Tame Lady Lions


HUNTINGDON — The Fillies played host to Camden’s Lady Lions last Tuesday, March 19 scoring all their runs in the first three innings and holding off Camden in the later innings for a 4-2 victory.

Huntingdon got their first run in the bottom of the first inning, scored two more in the bottom of the second, and plated a final run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Camden scored solo runs in the top of the fourth and fifth innings.

The Fillies racked up 12 hits on the afternoon with Kaci Fuller leading the way with three hits at three at bats while Leah Hayes, Kelsey Hayes, and Rylee Holladay all had two hits each. Caitlin Krueziger got the win for Huntingdon giving up one run over four hits and striking out three. Adyn Swenson threw three innings of relief giving up a run on four hits and striking out three.

Camden tallied eight hits on the day with Briley Hardin and Briann Minor getting multiple hits. Alix Hampton took the loss for the Lady Lions giving up four runs on 11 hits and striking out four batters.

Huntingdon improved to 7-2 on the season while handing Camden their first loss.
