As we end the Fiscal Year 2019, the town of Huntingdon reflects back on some of the accomplishments of this year. As mayor and town council, it was our goal through Fiscal Year 2019 to continue building infrastructure and laying the ground work to secure the needs of future generations.
The 2019 budget included a Capital Outlay Note for Street Paving and the Town’s LPRF grant match. An increase in Street Fund revenues from the State’s IMPROVE act increase in gasoline and diesel tax rates will be used for repayment of the note.
The renovation of the Huntingdon Historical Museum continues. The Dixie celebrated another outstanding season of main event and school time performances. The FY-19 Utility Fund Budget included several grant projects including a CDBG grant project for Highway 22 Bypass and Williams Street Pumping Stations and a FIDP Grant for the Buena Vista Road Pumping Station. The Dixie also received a $50,000 USDA grant for lighting, sound, and clear-com equipment upgrades.
