Gaylon Wallace Hickman

A funeral service for Gaylon Wallace Hickman is Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Interment is at Shiloh Cemetery.

Mr. Hickman, 86 years old, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at McKenzie Health Care. He was born November 16, 1932 in McKenzie, Tenn. to Edgar and Edwina Ridley Hickman. He retired from the Air National Guard after serving thirty-plus years, he also enjoyed farming and is a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Daniel Hickman and two brothers, Gordon Hickman and Doug Hickman.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Arnold Hickman of McKenzie, daughter, Gaye (Dale) Coleman of McKenzie, son, David (Lynda) Hickman of McKenzie, five grandchildren, Lauren Hickman, Meagan Hickman, Rebekah (Travis) Wales, Jacob (Misti) Coleman and Sheridan (Chase) Mendenhall and eight great-grandchildren Ginny, Olivia, Anna Beth, Lynnsie, Creek, Silas, Myles and Lucas.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
