HUNTINGDON — Mr. Gerald “Buddy” Hilliard, 73, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral services were Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral home with Pastor Jacob Harris officiating the service. Interment followed in Jamison Cemetery.
Pallbearers who served were Taylor Hilliard, Grant Hilliard, Ronnie Chandler, Jacob Winters, Joe Hampton and Charles Leslie.
Mr. Hilliard was born November 11, 1946 in Westport, Tennessee, to the late Joe Priestly and Marguerite Louise (Cox) Hilliard. He was a retired production manager at Procter and Gamble Company for 31 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon, where he served as a deacon. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Hilliard, one daughter, Leigh Ann Chandler (Ronnie) of Bruceton, one son, Tim Hilliard (Teri), and one sister, Amy Hilliard, both of Huntingdon. He also leaves three grandchildren, Taylor Hilliard (Samantha), Grace Winters (Jacob), and Grant Hilliard. Chase Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. +
