GREENFIELD (January 29) — In-county basketball rivals met in Greenfield on January 29 in which the home team took two victories over Gleason. The Lady ‘Jackets avenged an earlier season loss with a 47-40 victory on Friday. In January, Gleason Lady Bulldogs won 52-42.

GREENFIELD (January 29) — In-county basketball rivals met in Greenfield on January 29 in which the home team took two victories over Gleason. The Lady ‘Jackets avenged an earlier season loss with a 47-40 victory on Friday. In January, Gleason Lady Bulldogs won 52-42.
Greenfield scored 14 in the first quarter, followed by 9, 12, and 12 in the subsequent quarters for a total of 47 points. Edie Darby led the Lady ‘Jackets with 13 points, followed by Caroline Crouse with 12, Paige Glisson with 11, Reese Biggs with 7, and Matti Winberry and Anastyn Vajicic with 2 each.
Gleason scored only 2 in the first quarter, followed by 12, 7, and 19 points in subsequent quarters for a total of 40 points.
Alayna Anderson led with 13 points, Chasney Brawner with 9, Hallee Young with 8, Sophie Wilson with 6, and Tinsley Parkins and Ava Sawyers with 2.

Bulldogs 48
Greenfield’s Yellowjackets won 57 to 48 over Gleason’s Bulldogs. Greenfield scored 17 in the first quarter, 14, 15, and 11 in the subsequent quarters. The Greenfield win avenges a 58-41 loss earlier this season to Gleason.
Jacob Floyd led the ‘Jackets with 26 points, followed by Matt Scates with 11, Kire Tribble with 10, Kobe Thomas with 7, and Barkley Biggs with 3.
Gleason’s Bulldogs were led by Elijah Young with 23 points, followed by Olen Reed with 14, Garrett Pinkston with 9, and Brady Witherspoon with 2.
