Governor Lee, Commissioner Rolfe Announce Profile Metal Forming to Expand, Create 23 Jobs in McKenzie

Company will invest $2.5 million in expansion

Posted

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe today announced that Profile Metal Forming plans to invest $2.5 million in capital to expand its operations in McKenzie and create 23 jobs by 2025.

To support this growth, Profile Metal Forming will expand its Henry County operations by nearly 7,000 square feet.

The expansion will house a new 1,000-ton press line to increase the company’s capabilities to meet new automotive market demands. The additional space and press line will allow the company to grow with its current customer base as well as focus on vertical integration.

The expansion is expected to begin in late 2020 and be completed in Spring 2021.

Profile Metal Forming manufactures custom engineered stamped metal components and assemblies for the automotive, appliance, materials handling, telecommunications & construction industries, including stamping, welding, punching, rollforming and bending. The company is privately owned and headquartered in New Hampshire, but has operated a facility in Henry County for 33 years.

Since 2015, TNECD has supported eight economic development projects in Henry County, resulting in the creation of more than 600 jobs and $123.5 million in private capital investment.

QUOTES

“Job creation in rural communities remains a priority, especially iduring these unprecedented times. I’d like to thank Profile Metal Forming for its continued expansion in Henry County and the confidence it has in the workforce of Tennessee.”  Gov. Bill Lee

“Tennessee is home to over 900 automotive suppliers, and we are proud to see Profile Metal Forming expanding in Henry County. I look forward to seeing how the company’s efforts for more vertical integration will pay off as it continues to grow its services.” – TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe

“The automotive industry is consolidating, and Profile’s customer base is reducing the number of suppliers that they partner with. As a result, Profile’s $2.5 million investment in our Henry County facility will increase the plant’s capabilities and capacity and allow us to meet our customers’ needs. Profile’s ownership and management is proud to partner with the Paris-Henry County Industrial Committee, the State of Tennessee’s Economic and Community Development Department and First Horizon Bank in this visionary investment which will secure jobs for years to come in rural Henry County.” – Norman French, CFO, Profile Metal Forming

“We thank Profile Metal Forming for its continued confidence in Henry County and our dedicated workforce and look forward to the company’s next chapter of growth here. Adding these new jobs will have a positive impact on our community. I also appreciate the work done by our local officials, Governor Lee, Commissioner Rolfe and the Department of Economic and Community Development in bringing new jobs and investment to our area. It is an honor to partner with them to protect our business friendly environment and to ensure we remain competitive to all companies looking to call us home.” – Sen. John Stevens (R-Huntingdon)
